Subsequently, Lively became a half-sibling of Ernie’s kids Blake and Eric, both also actors.

Lively began her acting career at the age of six, appearing in the 1978 television film “Summer of My German Soldier.” As a preteen in the early 1980s, she appeared in episodes of “Boone,” “Knight Rider,” and “Punky Brewster.” Throughout the rest of the decade, Lively had guest roles on such shows as “Silver Spoons,” “Starman,” and “21 Jump Street.” She also acted in the television films “Fuzzbucket” and “Not Quite Human,” as well as the latter’s sequel, “Not Quite Human 2.” Lively began landing bigger roles in the 1990s, starting with a main role on “Teen Angel Returns” and a recurring role in the second season of “Twin Peaks.” From 1991 to 1993, she played the recurring role of nurse Michele Farber on the medical sitcom “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” and in 1992 she had a main role on the short-lived CBS series “Freshman Dorm.” Lively had further recurring roles on the short-lived “Against the Grain” in 1993 and on “Chicago Hope” from 1994 to 1995.
