As an actor, Orny Adams is best known for starring as Coach Bobby Finstock on the MTV series “Teen Wolf” from 2011 to 2017, and he reprised his role in 2023’s “Teen Wolf: The Movie.” Adams has also appeared in the 2003 short “Montgomery West and the Wings of Death and in the 2009 film “Funny People.”

Early Life
Orny Adams was born Adam Jason Orenstein on November 10, 1970, in Lexington, Massachusetts. He grew up with two sisters in a Conservative Jewish household, and he spent his summers at New Hampshire’s Camp Tel Noar. Adams attended Lexington High School, and after graduating in 1989, he enrolled at Emory University. There, he majored in philosophy and political science and earned a bachelor’s degree in 1993. According to his official website, “Orny wanted to play basketball in high school but did not make the team. He did make the debate team and traveled to different states ‘debating a bunch of geeks.’ In college, he was the pitcher for his fraternity softball team. They won the championship the two years he pitched.”

Personal Life
In 2018, Orny visited Israel with his family for the first time. In a 2018 interview with The Times of Israel, he spoke about his relationship with his family, stating, “We’re very close; we speak daily. My sisters are married with kids, but even though I dated the most, I’m still single. I fell in love with comedy, and it takes a devotion and selfishness that I couldn’t and wouldn’t put somebody through.”
