What Is Ciara’s Net Worth?
Ciara is an American singer and songwriter who has a net worth of $20 million. After first gaining some recognition as a member of the group Hearsay, Ciara began to make waves as a songwriter. This led to an introduction to Jazze Pha and a record deal with LaFace Records. In 2004, she released her debut solo album. That album spawned hits such as “Goodies,” “1, 2 Step,” and “Oh,” and garnered her multiple Grammy nominations. Her second album, released two years later, was another smash hit and reached #1 on the charts. It spawned the hits “Like a Boy,” “Promise,” and “Get Up.” Several of Ciara’s singles have reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She has won numerous awards, including three BET Awards, three MTV awards, three MOBO awards, and one Grammy. She has been nominated many more times for various awards. While record sales make up a significant portion of Ciara’s net worth, she generates income from a variety of sources. This includes acting roles, touring, and perhaps most notably, brand endorsements. In the past, she has worked with major brands such as Adidas, Roca Wear, and Verizon. Ciara is also notable for being married to NFL quarterback Russell Wilson.
Early Life
Ciara was born Ciara Princess Harris on October 25, 1985, in Foot Hood, Texas. She was an “army brat,” which means she was born into a military family. Because of this, she spent much of her younger years traveling. Her family was stationed in Germany for a period of time, and she also moved frequently throughout the United States. Before Ciara reached her mid-teens, she had lived in New York, Utah, California, Arizona, and Nevada. Allegedly, she was named after a Revlon perfume called “Ciara.”
First Experiences With Music
Eventually, Ciara’s family would settle in Atlanta. In her mid-teens, Ciara was able to make lasting friends and connections, and she formed an all-girl pop group called “Hearsay.” The group would never make it big, but it was a valuable experience that inspired Ciara to pursue a future music career.
Before Ciara had even graduated from high school, she was writing songs for prominent musicians such as Blu Cantrell and Fantasia Barrino. Becoming involved with the music industry allowed her to make more valuable connections. She met Jazze Pha, a producer who would encourage her to record her own songs. With the help of her new networking connection, Ciara recorded songs that would later appear on her debut album.
Mainstream Success
After graduating from high school in 2003, Ciara was ready to fully pursue her own career in music. After meeting with a major record label executive through Jazze Pha, she signed with LaFace Records. She soon began work on her debut album. A handful of songs, including “1, 2, Step” and “Thug Style,” had already been recorded during her high school years. Ciara added to the album with a song featuring Lil Jon . The song “Goodies” would become one of her most successful hits, and it was the title track of her debut album.
In 2004, Ciara’s first album was released. It was a major success, shooting straight to #3 on the US Billboard 200 chart. “Goodies” went 3x Platinum in the U.S. and sold almost 130,000 units in the first week after release. The album’s title track performed especially well. After the success of that hit, Ciara earned the moniker “First Lady of Crunk.” The song “Goodies” has been compared to a female version of Usher’s “Yeah.”
After the release of her debut album, Ciara joined forces with many other major artists. She featured on singles by Missy Elliott and Bow Wow . She also toured with Gwen Stefani and Chris Brown .

Further Albums and Acting Career
In 2006, Ciara released her second album, “Ciara: The Evolution.” The album reached the same level of success as her debut. The song “Get Up” (featuring Chamillionaire ) was used in the soundtrack of the film Step Up . After a period of touring with other musicians such as T.I. , Ciara began her acting career. Her first role saw her playing a teen volleyball player in an MTV movie called “All You’ve Got.” In March 2023, it was revealed that Ciara had joined the cast of the film adaptation of the Broadway musical “The Color Purple” as Nettie.
Ciara’s third album, “Fantasy Ride,” had unprecedented levels of international success, most notably in the UK and Canada. This was probably due to the album’s shift blending of R&B and Hip-Hop with a more mainstream, pop sound. The album features collaborations with artists like Young Jeezy and Justin Timberlake . She spent the next period touring with artists such as Britney Spears and Jay-Z . She also collaborated with artists like Ludacris and Pitbull on various songs.
Ciara’s next album was “Basic Instinct.” Although the album wasn’t as successful as her previous entries, it nonetheless contained many high-performing hits. After a long wait, Ciara released her fifth album in 2013. The album was simply called “Ciara.” During this period, Ciara focused heavily on acting. She appeared in a handful of movies and played herself on the BET series “The Game.” Ciara’s sixth album was entitled “Jackie,” and it was released in 2015. It did not perform as well as her previous albums. In 2019, she released “Beauty Marks.” In June 2022, it was announced that Ciara signed a new record deal with Republic and Uptown Records in partnership with her label, Beauty Marks Entertainment, through which she will release her eighth studio album.
Personal Life
Ciara has been romantically involved with a number of high-profile celebrities, including 50 Cent , Bow Wow, and Amar’e Stoudemire . She was engaged to rapper Future at one point, but they broke up in 2014. Future and Ciara have a child together. Ciara has been married to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson since 2016. The couple has welcomed two daughters and a son together.
Advertising Ventures
Ciara has increased her fortune by becoming involved with various brands as part of advertising deals. She became the face of a major ad campaign by Verizon Wireless in 2009 to promote their smartphone, the Chocolate Touch. In 2010, she became a spokesperson for Adidas Originals. Ciara also promoted Jay-Z’s clothing line, Rocawear. In 2016, she became a global brand ambassador for Revlon – the same brand that launched a fragrance entitled “Ciara” back in 1973. In October 2021, Ciara joined the Caribbean rum brand Ten To One Rum as an investor and co-owner. She also released the skincare line “On A Mission.”
Real Estate
In 2015, Russell Wilson paid $6.7 million for a waterfront mansion in Bellevue, Washington. The mansion sits on Lake Washington and had been on the market since 2010. It was built in 2008. The two-story, 10,700-square-foot home has seven bedrooms and 6.75 bathrooms. The home sits on two-thirds of an acre of property with views of Lake Washington, downtown Seattle, and nearby mountain ranges. It comes with five fireplaces, a wine cellar, skylights, and a walk-in pantry. In April 2022, Russell and Ciara listed this home for sale for $28 million. They sold this property in April 2024 for $21.15 million. Here is a video tour:
Right around the same time he listed the Bellevue mansion, Russell and Ciara paid $25 million for a mansion in the Denver area. The purchase set a record for the most expensive home sold in Denver . The 20,000-square-foot home has four bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, an indoor pool, a game room, a home theater.
In 2021, they paid $14.5 million for a sprawling, 9-acre estate in a gated community in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Before their purchase, the property featured an equestrian center which was converted into a football field. Dubbed the “Amor Estate,” the property features 30,000 square feet of living space. Russell and Ciara listed the home for sale in December 2025 for $54.9 million . Below is a video tour from before they purchased the property, so you’ll see the former equestrian center:

Back in 2015, a month after signing an $88 million contract extension with the Seattle Seahawks, Russell Wilson paid $6.7 million for a lakefront home about 10 miles outside of Seattle in the town of Bellvue. At some point, he also bought the empty lot next door, where he built a carport. After listing the home in 2022, Wilson and his wife, singer Ciara , have sold both properties for a combined $31 million.
Here’s the house’s official listing:
“A signature waterfront estate offering elevated living, exquisite design, and exceptional views. Bask in bluff-top privacy and beachside fun. Luxury, by the numbers: Main level has flawless 180° views; 20-ft tall entry rotunda; 2 dining spaces; epicurean kitchen with 8-burner stove + 14-ft prep island; pro gym off the 3-bay garage. Upper level has 4 en-suite bedrooms, 2 balconies, 200+ square feet of closet space, 1 Hollywood-worthy glam room. Lower level has 1 bedroom, 1 cinema, 1 dance/yoga studio, a 3-story elevator and 3 large play spaces. The exterior has 3 patios, 12 parking spots, a 2-story treehouse, 3-slip dock, 2 jet ski lifts. Experience 164′ of waterfront w/ extraordinary views. It all adds up to a champion’s life.”
Wilson bought the home three years into his stint with the Seahawks, adding a sports court and two-story treehouse and reportedly planning future developments. But plans changed when Wilson was traded to Denver (where he bought the most expensive house in the history of the city ), and the adjoining properties were listed with a combined asking price of $36 million, but also available separately. And that’s how they were eventually sold.
Now, Wilson has signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers so he may be making some more real estate moves in the near future.
